Vegans don’t eat meat, fish, poultry, eggs, dairy, or honey. They avoid junk foods that often involve animal byproducts, like refined sugar and gelatin. Vegans also avoid using products made from or by animals including silk, wool, fur, leather, and cosmetics or soaps which have animal products included.

“Most people think there has to be nothing left for vegans to eat or that our meals has to be bland and boring,” Hauver said. “This just isn’t the case. Not at all. With fruits, grains, vegetables, tofu, tempeh, nuts, seeds, mushrooms, legumes, and our supplements, the recipes are endless.”
